Great player that I got to meet when he was playing in college. I had a friend that played with him @ Alcorn State when I was playing at UAB. That guy was simply a great person who did not forget someone because I got to reintroduce myself to him about 10 years after meeting him the first time and he remembered my name and where I played.

You can single out certain events in anybody's life that can make them look bad. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone and all.... What McNair will be remembered for in our community is his generous heart and powerful presence. He was the face of the franchise for 11 years and held this town in his hand. He was always present at charity events and known for doing things behind the scenes that he didn't want press for. He wasn't perfect, none of us are. But he absolutely was a good guy with a big heart. He's going to be missed around here. :salute

What's the old saying?
If you have nothing good to say...
I honor the sportsman and entertainer that was Steve McNair. His personal life was just that: Personal, and none of my business. The disgusting "adulation of entertainers" in America that Maverick mentioned is just the flip side of the disgusting envy and violation of entertainers privacy in America. That he had a girlfriend and cheated on his wife is a fact that you shouldn't know or even care to know, and it shouldn't matter one bit.

I work in the B-More apocalypse. When I started I was told to avoid the alleys around our office. Last week, a guy was smoking a cigarette right behind our building and witnessed our neighbor, a florist, getting arrested.
A shame, really. Nice looking town.
McNair was shot in Nashville, though, so I guess that's something you can't chalk up to the B-more.
