I managed to dig up some good screenshots of my P38 sorties this past week. All the photos are in 1024x768 resolution. Lemme know what ya'll think! :salute
Note: You are about to witness the sheer intensity of the P38 Lightning. Some images are graphic! Not for the faint of heart! :devil

Good stuff. The best ones to look for are when you are in your 82nd FG skin and you are knocking down German or Italian birds.
The 80th guys find it more natural to go hunting Japanese birds since the 80th was a 5th AF PTO squadron. The historical look is so much better when the baduns are fitting for the historic 38 bunch you are representing :)
With the two skins Oboe did of 82nd birds you should be able to get some really nice shots.
-
Thanks Guppy. :aok
When i get back airworthy I always go hunting for 109s and 190s, they're my favorite although i never leave without a bunch of missing parts! :D
-
Great screens... other than the pony pwnage.
Didja ever notice how the Lightning, when looking at its front quarter view, seems to be twins laughing, or grinning?
:noid
-
This was taken yesterday while dueling a good JG11 pilot. Great fights last night! :salute
(http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u138/exodus2243/82nd10.jpg)
PS: Stay tuned for more P38 shots!

Seems appropriate. 190D9 falling in pieces, 38 blowing by...er....wait! In my case it's usually 38G falling in pieces D9 blowing by!
Nice screenshot :)
-
Picked this screenshot while me and my squad were escorting the 91st Bomb Group. That jug was lucky to strike a kill against one of our buffs, but I took him down before he felt too comfortable! :devil

Heheh, unfortunately its rare for me to shoot down an Axis bird as they tend to either run away from me, or cherry pick me from afar! :cry

I think you'll find, as you stick with the 38 more and get caught up in the history of the 82nd that you'll end up targeting LW birds first in a fight. I know that some of us in the 80th just naturally go for the Zekes, N1Ks etc now. It only seems right. My last time up where that screenshot was taken, it was a carrier to base fight with all kinds of blue planes to go with the Zekes. I ended up shooting 4 Zekes down even though I could have shot at many a USN bird. Somehow I was attracted to the Japanese birds instead :)
-
Two burning zekes in one photo....how fitting!
Nice!

Okay folks. Here is another compilation of screenshots that I managed to scrounge up on my recent P38 sorties. So here we go...

Last night, the 82nd FG had an awesome sortie escorting the 91st BG, led by thndrEGG. Once again, many thanks to the 91st for giving us a great time escorting you all! :salute
Here are pictures of some of the things we did:

Looking good with the German Iron dying :aok

Well Im back to putting up some more screenies for the P38 enthusiasts! Here's to you guys:
After Cavalier left for the night, me and DirtyDog did some winging up. DirtyDog was dragging a 262 in the vertical, but funny enough, the 262 had hardly any energy. So I dove right on top of of the poor guy and capped him at point blank. He went straight to the tower.
PS: This is the SAME guy that picked me during the previous sortie before this one. I got my revenge alright!
-Got the 262 in my sight...
-"Sad Sack", our 82nd FG P-38G deals out the death blow!
-
Ha, I love 38s, while not anywhere near my best plane its still one of my favs.
But give me my spixteen with some height and you are all entitled to be worried :devil :lol
:salute
-
-This pony was being a jerk. So as he blew past me, I looked up and gave him the finger!
Exactly how does a pony act to be classified as 'a jerk?' :D
-
excellent pics plazus! Always nice to bag a 262.
-
Nice formation flying. :aok
-
Thanks guys! Stay tuned, more pics are on the way. :aok
-
nice Picks Plaz!!! I'll never tire of seeing B-38s taking parts off of other planes. :rock
-
Picked up another one today.

-"Sad Sack" giving a Ki84 a spankin'
-
Nice shot. I wish I could fly with detail like that, but I am happy to be able to fly the way I am. It could be worse :)
-
I spent some more of my time digging into my old films. I was pleasantly surprised to find some good formation picture opportunities. Hope ya'll enjoy em! :aok

-
You didn't have to rub it in my face....
No sir, I wasnt trying to. Was bored to death so I spent more time browsing through old films.
-
Bah I was kidding anyway :). Really enjoyed the SS's, tpp!
-
Scratching off my "unconfirmed" 262 kill.
-With extra P38 parts to compliment!
-"Paddy" showing no mercy! Well maybe just a little... ;)
-
You now owe me $5 for every pic I am in = total of 35$. :rock
-
Hyperion, great stuff. Love to see you guys winging up with us!
<S>

I gotta roll with the 82nd some time

Sad note - it did not end well for the P-38 in this one. Appears during the latest map/version change they moved the position of some trees and bushes. Hence, it in the current version looks like complete dogshit and has none of the cover and concealment that it did before in the screen cap.

You gotta record your flights with Alt+R. Save the films and go into the AH Filmviewer. Open your films, and have at it! Lemme know if you need any more help. :aok

do what plazus said and when youre ready to take a pic, slow down the timescale to about 0.18x or something close to that make sure you slow it down before you take it.Then make it fullscreen view then when you want to take it press the prt scr key on ur keybord then go in MS Paint and click on edit at the top then click on paste then save it as a Bmp or PNG or JPG.Then upload it to the photo website you use(I use flickr),get the photo's URL and paste it here on the post screen.Don't forget the img things.
