Title: I need some help with the keybord on my laptop.
Post by: StokesAk on July 06, 2009, 05:07:40 PM
I have to press the Num Locks key to type the letters U I O P J K L M. The button labeled Fn seems to be jammed in the active postion. I tried taking off the cover and messing with it and it still doesnt work. So i was wondering would this be a hardware problem or a software problem and if so anyway i can fix it my self?

I'm not certain but it sounds like some type of short in your keyboard.  You could always replace it.  Not sure what a new one would cost.

Hey Croduh, long time no see.

I agree, it sounds as if something went haywire with the keyboard. If Croduh's suggestion doesn't work get the laptop into the shop.
