it took you two hours to apply a posterisation filter?
-
Its not a filter.
-
No.
This is a vector, taking at the general colors of an image and breaking them down to seem less busy and more relaxed. I understand why you think it is just posterized.

Read that for a better definition.
EDIT: (just in case you did not look at the link)
This is an example

If you concentrate really really hard on an imaginary point behind the picture, you'll be rewarded with a 3D depiction of Robin Williams having his way with a beagle in a Billy Crystal mask.
-
However it was made I find it an interesting piece.

a man who plagerized his doctorial certificate, liked booze and women much younger than his wife...Nice job though.

I don't expect you to understand excatly how to do these and all the steps. Of course there are ways to half bellybutton it. I took the time with the original image to map out each section. When I get home I will pm u with the .psd file so you can see for your self.
Lute look closer at yours then look back at mine, if you do not see why it is not posterization we have a problem.

"plagiarized and doctoral" in that order. But what does that have to do with a digitized photo Weazely posted?

Cut Weazley down then applaud him. Classy! As for the middle sentence, learn English, then type.

I understand fully how to use the path tool to create "vector art".
You had to posterize to get it started (or at some point early on). After that i'm sure you spent many hours mapping the edges and tweaking it, but to say you DIDN'T posterize is flat out incorrect. More accurate would be you didn't "just" posterize it.

He could have chosen a myriad of subjects....MLK is not the best art subject to cover if avoiding controversy is your thing. Anway, he chose it and posted it and I expressed my critique....if you dont care for it, or my thoughts on the larger subject....well you can guess quite purely that I could not care any less than I currently do.
As for sentence structure, or the structure with which the building of comprehendable meanings, and or intent thereof, or perhaps a singular wish to convey a secondary or perpindicular train of thought, or perhaps the urge to map out the global mind collectively...or some such similar, I trust you have a brain capable of figuring out what other people want you to think, fear not using it from time to time :lol

You remove all doubt. :rofl

you are ON it :aok

It's a photo manipulation. A digital painting would require you to have the original as one file, and then you would digitally paint, or draw the new picture on a blank 'canvas' using a tablet, or mouse.
-
i would like to see the original please.
-
There ya go. This is going to be funny.

Lute it is nice to know someone who knows his way around PS/GIMP and such is in sync with things. When JB comes in here making a bold statement on a subject he knows very little about if was frustrating. I even provided links for him to read on the subject. But yes this is not just posterized, but it is a step in the overall creation of one of these. To whom it concerns, thinking that adding posterization will get you the end result is dumb.

Vector art allows you to scale the image to any size without loosing quality to pixelation. You could blow that thing up to 100 stories if you wanted to.

Which is one huge diff. between what I did and what he did. I could sit there for 20min and tweak mine by hand and make it LOOK like the what weazely posted, but when you zoom in mine will get all blurry and pixalized whereas w/ vector art it will be clear as a bell. (not so much in THIS case because it wasn't created by scratch and is limited by the original picture, but you get the idea)
