Jumped in to bomb calibration mode & was presented with this. What would cause this it was only in the bomb site no place else?

Has it happened before? Have you updated anything lately? I tried different video drivers at one point and would get severe crosshatching in the bombsight which would come and go depending on how far I was zoomed in.
Try different video drivers maybe?

Never in the bomb site before. A few times around around bases & strats smoke off of burning items I will get similar issues. Only thing I have changed on my PC was loading of Beta & come to think of it these types of things seem to only have been happening since then?

If it's happening occasionally in differing situations it sounds like your video card is going. Most likely the VRAM. If so it will get worse before it finally fails.
The reason it's going could be three things; manufacturing defect, heat or insufficient power supply.
First though I'd try removing the Beta and then changing video drivers.

Interesting..explain how I would not be getting enough power to the Video card please.

I don't know what kind of video card or power supply you have but you need to have a power supply that puts out enough power (total watts and +12V amps) to operate your system and your video card. Modern video cards consume almost half the power in a typical system.
As examples a Nvidia 9500 GT needs about a 350W PSU with 16-18 amps on the 12V rails. A 9800 GTX needs 450W with closer to 28 amps and those numbers are minimums. If you're running a lot of hard drives, peripherals, an extreme processor, etc. then the numbers go up.
We run into this all the time in the Harware and Software forum. 70% of those wanting to upgrade their video cards also have to upgrade their power supples. If they don't they would either fry the video card, the power supply or both.
Heat exacerbates the issue as heat reduces the efficiency of both the power supply and the video card so simple summer temperatures could cause a failure in a system that's already on the edge.
You might want to take this discussion to the Hardware and Software forum for additional opinions.

Wow I've never seen anything like that.
Obviously it's the AH way to say 'make love, not war' :D

Well got with Dell I have an XPS700 I bought almost 3 years ago. I guess there is video card updates & fan updates the service tech loaded them on line said it should fix it. So far so good Picture seems crisper. Who new there was updates for video cards & cooling fans. Oh & I also purchased 2 new video cards 9400 series nice step up from the 7900. :aok

That's what I see when I get in the bombsite in my B-38 bomber. I just marked it off as too many margaritas.

Try removing your cache folder from the Aces High II folder.

Well it is a video card after doing all all the suggestions here on the bulletin boards the issues appeared again & after Dell techs looked at the screen shots I took here a little while ago they confirmed it is toast or soon will be. Just as well I ordered some new ones. Thanks for all the help every one.

Completely more appropriate would be 'For What its worth' by Buffalo Springfield.

Assuming you had the 7900 in at the time, yea it was the GPU. I found out from some people here that they have Defective Samsung VRAM, I just replaced my old 7900 with a 260 due to it.
The card would only get worse from there, from screen flicks to visual stretching to having to lower graphics to get good Framerates.
