Hi
I have been searching a WW2 plane specifications with CG location data. No lucky....Until today :)
'FW 190 A-8 Flight Trials'
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/fw190/fw190a8-733705-2.html
The CG location (0.72-0.78m) is mentioned in above document, but no reference point.
Is it from the wing root leading edge? Including/excluding the wing root-fuselage fairings?
Thanks

I would guess wing root... but no idea.
Will be interesting to hear the answer if someone knows.

According to my own test, the wing-root is a reference point and then static margins are something like in picture below.

It would be very nice, if somebody could confirm this reference point issues.

This from the AL Bentley drawings.

Keep in mind the AUX tank screwed with COG as well, as did the ETC rack. Presence or absence of these could be important based on the plans you're looking at.

The ETC was moved forward on the A-8 to compensate for the aux tank. That is why you don't see inner wheel covers on late model 190s.

Thank you MiloMorai. This is very helpful.
Obviously my measures & calculations are off.

Yes, but the presence or absence of said ETC tank could be important in plans like the picture you posted. That's what I meant.
I've heard a comment or two that the ETC was always loaded on A8s with AUX tanks to counter balance it (or help, at least), as most photos seem to have it even if nothing is loaded on it.
