Jolly22, we appreciate the enthusiasm, but I think I can speak for the folks who've been around here a while, that we'd appreciate you using the search function a bit, and not just throwing up the latest thing you've come across on google :)
Formation assembly ships didn't fly combat. They were used to do just that, help the combat birds form up. The Formation Assembly ships were 'war weary' bombers that were no longer used on Ops.
There was one exception on a maximum effort raid during the Battle of the Bulge time, but that's it. It wasn't that one.

rgr..srry :salute

Plus the one you have shown is a D model & we don't have that in the game.
There is some unusual schemes though even with B17's.

One of the books at my local library has a nice color photo of that B24 with a few other bombers following it. I'm sure Dan has the one I'm talking about. <hint> :aok

WPAFBM has a great B24 that someone might wish to skin.
Noseart titled Strawberry squeak. Had North Africa type paint scheme.

Early glass nose D model though :(

Here is the picture I was talking about. Its name was 'Spotted bellybutton ape'.

And some other very nice photos of it.

You'll notice it has no guns, no turrets, probably no bomb racks, no nothing but a pilot, copilot, and radio.

Larry wasn't suggesting it be skinned. It was in reference to a photo he and I were talking about.
Nice pics btw. I hadn't seen them outside of the first one

wont be funny as hell if the a whole bomber group painted their A/C with all sort of colors. It would confused the Germans.
-
The Germans likely never saw them.....most never saw enemy territory.
-
I say skin em and make them in game without guns, bomb site and bombs. Then see how much people want them to fly.
-
ill fly the just for kicks! :x
