Ki-44-II (c?)
1,520hp take-off
if a "c", four 20mm cannon
if a "b", four 12.7mgs
good climb, o.k.speed, o.k.roll, turns not so hot.

Yep it be one of them there Nakajima Ki-44IIb Shoki. I think it would make a great addition to the standard Japanese plane set. You could have the perked Ki-44IIc version with two 12.7mm and two 40mm. I would also like to see the Kawasaki Ki-100. Kawasaki lets the good time roll.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) The Nakajima Ki-43-IIb Hayabusa would be a fun addition to the standard Japanese plane set. It wasn't well armed or fast but it could turn like mad.

what the japanese had planes other than the zero? everybody keeps saying that the P-38 did fine in the pacific cause it went up against the slow zero. not planes that did 360-390 mph at 15,000ft performance equal to 109 and 190s. hum

At least its in a key other than FW :-)
We all have our wants, I want early war, and game support for the....na, thats an old whine. :-)

A big yes on the Ki-100 and Oscar.

How about the Ki43-IIIb as a perk :-)
Stronger wing, 1,250hp, pilot armor and self-sealing tanks, two 20mm cannon in the
cowl. 363mph, 3,400 climb.

Ki 44 it is, the 40mm weapon was not perk worthy it was almost impossible to hit with due to it's short range and appalling ballistic characteristics.
