Title: External Blu ray Burner
Post by: Hoarach on July 11, 2009, 10:10:59 PM
Anyone have any experience with one or have one to recommend?

Looking to burn HD movies and looking around for a blu ray burner.

Well if it follows suit with anything else external, it's gonna cost more for something less. :uhoh

Installing a Blue-Ray driver in your comp is fairly painless, all you should need is a screwdriver and an empty 5.25(cd drive) slot in your comp and your ready to go.

Well I should probably mention this is for a laptop.

I did see one that goes onto a laptop internally for $60 on amazon but Im not confident in installing it.

$60 for an internal blu-ray drive on a laptop?  Link plz.  Laptop drives tend to run more than your standara 5.25" drive since they need to be specific to the laptop model(s)/brand most of the time.  The cheapest Blu-ray drives for PC's run $70, and that's just a reader, not a burner.
