Experten,

  BigJoe and I spent an hour in the TA last night trying to figure out how to use these rockets. I had always assumed that the WG 21s were mortars that were "launched" at a buff box and then would explode at the end of there flight path < I think this does occurs in brand WB?>. Our experimentation last night shows that all you are doing is lobbing large chunks of metal down range. This doesn't seem correct
  Is there a known bug with the WG 21s that I am not aware of, or am I totally off base here? I think these "missles" are going to be extremely important when the Historical Scenarios begin to arrive!
   Any help or information would be appreciated!

Ash those rockets were in fact rocket-powered howitzer rounds, with a time fuse that made them explode after a given amount of time.

I never load them ,tho, because they, as the real ones, are hoppelessy unnacurate. Last time I loaded them was in the Training Arena, back in the 1.01 version and they had no time fuse on.Seems that it isnt modelled still.

Anyway I dont see the point in loading them...those things were used aimed at a big box of bombers to scare them and made them open the formation, to aim at a single B17 was simply impossible.

BTW if Me262 comes someday we could see the R4M (heheh remmembers me the handle of someone here  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)) rockets used by them...THOSE were REAL A2A rockets...and quite accurate ones  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

RAM,

   BigJoe and I were getting pretty damn good at shooting those things last night :-). If we had them exploding there would have been some AMI iron on the ground.  We'll definitely need them future in the Historical Arenas :-)! And what better way to practice with them but on single buffs! I am very impressed by the way HTC has dealt with all bugs in the past and am a little surprised they have let this known issue go uncorrected for so long.

 I shot down an enemy fighter that tried to "HO" me one day when I took off in an anti-B17 ME-109 from a filed under attack.  So they do work  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Agree, if the timed fuse was modeled I think we could've produced a few kills we were getting mighty close to the mark.  I learned from a former WB squadie "geirjo" that they make for some great ack busters and it still holds true here in the AH arena.  So load'em up they do have a use just not what they were intended for.
