Are we sure about the drag associated with the Typhoon?  That thing has more drag than a brick. If you're doing 200ias and the motor goes kaput(with prop feathered) at low level you're ded ded ded u just do a belly flop , seems as long as the engines running even with the throttle chopped it flies fine at 120+ . soooooomethiiiiiing isn't correct there. heck you can float the b17 for quite a ways with 4 ded engs on the deck but the tiffie argh .. . BRICK , FLOP , SPLAT !   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Yes, the Tiffie's FM is very different from the other planes in AH.  It almost seems like it comes from another sim.

Yes the Typhoon is very strange.  I thought it was just the large prop and engine torque, but maybe it is more than that?  On the other hand, I have read some "interesting" WW2 pilot accounts about low speed behavior of this plane:   http://www.eagle.ca/~harry/aircraft/tempest/tbshow/checkout.htm (http://www.eagle.ca/~harry/aircraft/tempest/tbshow/checkout.htm)  http://www.eagle.ca/~harry/aircraft/typhoon/rb_typh.htm (http://www.eagle.ca/~harry/aircraft/typhoon/rb_typh.htm)
