It's the sole XB-38 equiped with Allison V-1710-89 engines.

It was also known as the B-17E s/n 41-2401, it was completed by may 43 and lost in june.

Oh wow... We were dicussing which aircraft was the most beautiful at work the other day and all agreed that the FF was a strong contender. Now that version... wow. I'm in love.  :D
