Title: Landing sucks.

Having little time on my hands as a land I have to think of an alternative meathod to slow down, this fighter hanger should do the trick.

Scraping my P38 parts off against the hanger I dramaticly drop in speed.

My nose cone should act as a good brake seeing as my gear is facing the wrong way.

How could you consider that a landing?!?!

Your landing gear is still in place and your pilot isn't limping out of the landing...

I guess I'm no longer a noob then...bent prop...no gear on the plane...sometimes missing a wing by the time it stops.



Great landing Stokes...any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

Being in the AirForce and watching them land daily, I have a habbit of re-creating this in the game.

I fly down center runway, halfway (Midfield) I Flare out right, nose slightly up, level out, drop flaps, then gear, then nose in right and flare out center runway with AOA nose high and land it with the throttle. Upwind/crosswind/downwind/base leg/final leg.

You would be suprised how well the pointy hats at HTC did in designing this into the game, the planes handle beautifully and land with no bounce once flown properly and at the right airspeeds (look them up or simply add +10 IAS to your Auto Take off speed when you roll out). Ride the horn all the way down, about mid to lower pitch, not when she is screaming tho, your to slow at that point.

It's fun for me, granted, not while the field is under attack, then its whatever it takes.

Could we turn this into an animated gif , label it 'landing with style' and post it in the training films area under "landing techniques"?

Hell man, the pilot dosen't need CPR or a defibrulator. If that dosen't show a 2 weeker then nothing will. When I was a 2 weeker I crashed better than that looser, oh the pilot may not have been dead but I would have at least striped the landing gear and usually would have torn the cockpit loose from the rest of the fusulage.

points deducted for 1 engine not smoking or aflame; landing gear intact; blender still in cockpit; spatula and mop not needed to clean pilot off tarmac; no paint rubbed off bottom of fuselage

go back to SAPP flight school, you obviously stayed awake/sober to much in class.

umm WAIT!!! I gave you the Torque Master 6000. Use that in maneuvers only. Do not... repeat DO NOT impliment the Torque Master while on final.
