I saw a great shot when we tally ho'ed on some F6Fs hoping to sneak in on our carrier at T-20.
The way the moon and the clouds looked was amazing. We need more night ops in FSO.

We were noticing and impressed by the cool way the lights on the instrument panel glowed, casting light around the cockpit.  I think having more Frames end after dark would be a cool thing.

In the F6F when selecting the tail hook it turned off the instrument lights in the cockpot and the green from the gear christmas tree  illuminated the cockpit. It was great

It could probably be pulled off if each side had a CM in God mode steering the intercepts. Of course that might take all the fun out of being a CM.

Being a CM is fun?  I think it supports others fun marvelously...but not fun in its own right.

Why?  Just set up radar to actually have some range.  If you're worried about somebody sending radar killers in ahead of the strike packages, can't you harden up the radar towers to be nearly indestructable?

It was meant as a joke Strip.

You got some good ideas there PFDave.

BIG WTG to whoever or whomever designed that night time sky last night.  Found myself standing in the O'Club at the rail on CV 24 starring out over the night time horizon and could almost hear the ship and smell the salt air.  Truly amazing graphics and colors as the sun set.   :aok

That was something i brought up in the past.  Some ppl didn't like the ideal.  I personally think it would be fun and challaging.

It would be cool to do that anb the city(s) would have search lights looking for you.

Thanks, I'm glad you guys liked the night aspect of it. I hope to do more night stuff in the future, but it will depend on the theater and rotation.   :salute

Here's a few screen shots as well.

It could be like BoB scenarios, where one country is dedicated as the radar assembly and everything is directed that way.

The second picture of the SBD just releasing is an amazing shot! The only thing is the dive brakes need deployed.
