Anyone else have issues with this new set that came out? EVGA recommended it for my 8800 GTS 640mb, but after install a few of my games would do a full system crash. As in black screen, sound looping. I went back to the tried and true 182.08 set. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
-
Been having troubles too. Not sure whats going on. Frequent dumps from game. Now start up computer no drivers. Have to reload. Can't get into game at all.
-
I just upgraded from 181.22 to 182.08. I tend to stray from "new drivers" myself.
-
Got back into game after reinstalling new drivers.
-
Nope. Im using the same driver and it works fine.
How exactly did you install it? Did you have any virus programs or firewalls running too?
-
the beta had issues and I'm using the latest ones off the nvidia website. I'll double check the exact version number when i get in but I have had no issues with any CTD's

Theres a new driver available. Just FYI.
-
<--- running 186.18 without any issues.
-
Freezes PC after about 15min. HDD led stays stuck on and all programs freeze, incl task manager showing 99% of CPU activity by System Idle Process. Mouse cursor intermitently works.
Anyone know what happened to Driver Cleaner?
-
drivers working for me. The fixed my stutters for me. I am using GTX9800
-
Cleaned everything up and reinstalled. Works fine so far.
-
Driver cleaner is still around:

Just did it again. HDD LED stays stuck and everything grinds to a stop. Not a HDD issue, I've just reinstalled windows with nothing fancy on 3 separate drives (1 of which only 3 days old) and reverting to an older driver version (178.2) fixed it.
-
just updated from 182 to 190.38 and it works fine with AH.
however the AA setting is greyed out as "Application-controlled" in the nvidia cp now, whereas I used to have a big range of settings
-
Perhaps Microsoft helped build those drivers? :D
-
To tell the full story - it worked great in AH, fixed most of the stuttering and raised the frame rate a bit. But it also crashed the computer like I described.
-
Loaded 190.38's on my box--runs AHII flawless.
Using AHII's max AA setting--FPS at 59-60.
Using Nvidia's max AA setting--FPS at 80-100.
Graphics are beautiful either way.
They pass by me.
:D

I had problems with the latest drivers with 8800GT too. Roll-back to older drivers fixed a few strange graphical anomalies I had in several games.

Charge I am having a nightmare with my graphics all over the place in AH (see this thread for my dillema: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,270784.msg3384217.html#msg3384217 )
What drivers are you using now?
