Title: AvA is up and running under ver. 2.14

I shut my office door and downloaded the update.  When AH2 was first released we found that the old AvA maps wouldn't work any more.  That does not appear to be a problem with 2.14; the Japan map loaded just fine (for all I know it doesn't have the new terrain details, though).  I reloaded the tables, sent the Allied carrier groups to good off-shore locations, and confirmed that planes fly for both sides.

One result of this is that I'll be at work much later tonight.  I would appreciate it if some of you could go into the arena and check it out to see if there are any bugs.

yep I got a bug in all other arenas I have around 75 frame rate, tonight AVA Japan map had as low as 14 best was 44 but mostly less than 20.

Thanks, folks.  I managed to get on for a few minutes.  Works fine for me when I turn off the fancy terrain (what I thought was a high-end computer plainly is not!).  Funny, I kind of like the faceless terrain, and of course the color of the trees doesn't have much to do with trying to shake the people on your six.  My frame rates were in the high 40s to mid-50s under those circumstances, and I've heard that you can't notice anything over 60 anyway.  As time goes by I expect we'll hear new hints on how to maximize performance.

Since no one was coming into AvA I dropped into EW for five minutes, long enough for AzBaer to run me into one of those faceless trees.  We are definitely going to enjoy the I-16s!

The Map looks great, but for some reason, when I go to A 88, my game crashes. Anyone else have this problem?

I've heard that some folks are noticing a drop in frame rates on the FinnRus map.  Anyone have any input on this?

Iv always have low FR on the fin rus map. Maybe because of the custom buildings or the cloud layers.

You know cristmas is coming around and I could use a $1000 gaming rig. :angel:

Damnit its like I'm 14 again. Sitting for hours listening to some tard teaching me something I already know just for a little piece of paper so I can make more money. :mad:
