I would first check to see if it your system that is having troubles running the update in low resolution. For me, my frame rates went from the high 60's in the previous version to over 100fps with settings all set to high in the new version. Sounds more like it could be your system rather than the update.

put EVERYTHING on minimum and you will be able to play fine.

Operators however quite often ARE stupid. As are many wishes.

If your performance improves, start turning things back on again one at a time. Once you find a good balance of detail and performance that you can live with, go with it. Also... remember that updates are never perfect, no matter what game you are playing. Developers can only take into account so many different types of systems and configurations when they are updating a game... there are bound to be a few bugs on their end that may need to be worked out as well... just be patient.

With that said... my update went fine, and I am running as good or better than I was before... so it's easy for me to say "be patient", when I can still play.

Seriously though... contact HTC and read the help forums for updates on fixes. Complaining here because your PC is having trouble running the new version isnt going to get you anywhere.

Download the patch and deselect the Detailed Terrain option and your frame rates should improve.

It isn't our fault you are running MS-DOS rather than XP.

they'll work on it, if ur having framerate trouble go to Graphic Detail then click Advanced and turn off Detailed Terrain. And your framerates should be fine, i am having the same trouble too, but this version is improving the overall game.
