The bug reports forum is for bug reports, not your opinions on the state of the game.  Please refrain from such posts in this forum, and post them in the General Discussion forum.

first of all the forum is where you go to complain. and plus, HTC will lose lots of customers 'cause of this crappy update

This 'Crappy' update is one of the biggest leaps forward HT has ever attempted. I say attempted very loosly, because it has been a big success. I think he will GAIN customers through this update which is ultimatly what his goal is. A lot of people here think this update is the best thing to come about since Swiss Cheese. I havent played the new version but I was there in Beta, and it rocked more that I can explain. Give it a chance and as has been said, instead of just complaining, post those bugs you found so they can be fixed. It can only be fixed if its reported.  :aok

ok, well now we're getting somewhere. Post your system specs and then we might see where the problem lies. Also bear in mind that HT has announced that a patch will be released in about an hour. You may want to hang on and see if its fixed in the patch

Codemant, please give us some information about your computer.  Your video card and it's memory, the amount of RAM on your computer, are you running XP or Vista?  Etc.
Giving us your dxdiag info will tell a lot.  It's more likely that you may find the solutions to what you're seeing in the Tech Support forum.

so will my current patch tell me if there's a new one when it comes out?

Yes it will when you log into the game.

To help out, click start, then run. In the box that opens type in dxdiag then hit enter. This will run the DX diagnostics. When its done...takes a couple of minutes, click the save as button in the bottom of the windows and save it to your desktop. Open the dxdiag.txt file on your desktop and copy and paste the first third of it here.

This report will help other HELP YOU figure out how to get the game to run on your computer.

This problem is not with all users...

I have done the same thing many times without the graphic error.

i might just kill my subscrition off if this never works right. why cant we just go back to 2.13?
and what parts of the thing are you talking about in that text file?

Use the Windows icon to pull up the Start/Programs menu and in the Search window type "DXDIAG" which will allow you to run the Direct X Diagnostic routine. Allow it to run until the green progress bar disappears and then use the "Save all information..." button to save the report to your desktop. We will need you to post the topmost part of the report to this thread.

NOTE: You will not be able to post it all so post in smaller pieces perhaps as much as the first 1/3 of the information.

I have an overclocked NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+, and I was able to run all the Beta versions, with great results the last three patches. Unfortunately I too had many difficulties today, and I had to go back and re-tweak my system. This is what I found that helped me; if your using a dual core AMD CPU, you need to right click your game launch icon on your desktop and click on the compatibility tab and select Windows 98/SE for the mode to use. If your using a video card below my version you should under game preferences uncheck all except Detailed Terrain. This will put you back to what you were used to using in the old version. Also I suggest in your video card's settings turn off anti-aliasing and the same under preferences in the game. Once again if your using an AMD dual core processor, and your video card allows it, ( such as mine), there is a setting that enables dual core processing for Direct X games. Turn this off. If your using a higher resolution such as 1280 X 1024 with the Hires pack, before you log into the game click on Video Settings on the clipboard and set the Max Texture Size from 1024 to 512. Now my only problem that I hope the next patch fixes is getting booted when using vox. Working together we can continue playing this game together.  :salute

You want to post the first third of the report. It covers the type and size of the CPU, video and sound as both type and drivers.

In your case it may be just a driver issue. Instead of complaining about it, work toward finding a solution and get it working.

I deleted old AH versions except the new one.  I logged in and recieved the new patch.  Downloaded the HiRes Texture pack.

I then went and defraged and now I dont see the bug.

This is the part needed. If you check below I highlighted a section in RED and made it bigger. Your using a laptop to play the game.....never a good idea. Second, your video card dosen't have its own ram so it borrows ram from your system. Your system only has 2 gig of ram as it is so its getting over taxed.

You have to clean you laptop up first, get it running clean and mean. Hit cntrl alt and delete at the same time. When that window opens, click the "processes" tab at the top. In the lower left corner it should tell you how many processes you have running. less is better, in a vista system upper 20's is good. If you have a lot, you useing more of your system to run these other processes and that takes away from the game.

The other thing you can do is turn the graphics down in the game. Sure its not going to look that pretty, but you might still be able to fly.

Maybe we should follow your advice. Jet planes have new problems, so lets go back to prop planes. Oh hang on, when they came out, they had problems as well, so lets go back to Biplanes, or maybe even just forget flight!

Medicine has side effects, so lets get rid of them all!

Dvds skip if scratched and occasionally have bugs in them, so lets get rid of all dvds and videos.

Im sure all PS3/Xbox360/Wii games have bugs in them. Maybe not major bugs, but bugs none the less. Are you wanting to get rid of them?

NEWS FLASH: 2.13 had bugs as well. A lot of them. A load were fixed and then more were fixed, but it still had a lot of bugs! Read this forum for an idea! IT WAS NOT A PERFECT GAME

The Patch has been out for less than 24 hours! COURSE ITS GONNA HAVE BUGS! Now instead of just scrapping god knows how many months work that HT and crew put into this, lets help them fix it. In a few weeks and after a few patches, the game will be fine. Not perfect, because even in this new VERSION (which is bigger than a patch) they were correcting a few bugs reported for many many MANY months! Apparantly even one of the main ones, the LVT dry spawning bug, has failed to be fixed. So how about instead of being so darn pessemistic and stuck in the past, we look to the future and HELP those who are developing it!

Codemant, it could also be something as simple as updating your video drivers.

The problem is the onboard video (Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express) card.  It is not a gaming quality video card and that is the primary cause of your troubles.  You can follow Superfly's suggestion and update your onboard video drivers (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2800) but be advised, you'll never get good performance using that onboard card.
