The Textures/Resolution seems to Degenerate the farther away i am from my plane in external and the gauges in the aircraft get blurry the farther you are back in the cockpit. The Image seems to be sharp when my vitual nose is pressed against the panel.

I have a Nvidia Geforce 7900 GT/GTO
Defualt Settings are
Resolution = 1024 x 1280
Max Texture Size = 1024
I have not downloaded the Hi Res package.

So I think that would mean that you are stretching the 512 texture into 1024. Lower the texture to 512, because that is what your using and try it again. Just a guess tho.
-
I've tried Both 512 and 1024, both are doing the same thing as well...
Also I cannot see the Sector Lines on the CB map, and the Numbers are All Blurred and unreadable.
Also the Skins are all blurry even at 1024.
(from another thread in Beta Forum)
The Clipboard Map Grid Numbers are unreadable. Also, I've turned my gfx card all the way up, turned the AA up on game and I still see fuzzy skins. EX: This F6F should be really clean, but the skin is fuzzy. Look at the Star.

Yepp didnt fix it for me either, but mine isnt nearly that bad either. Sttill blurry or very low resolution if you get outside half a foot of anything.
-
Just wondering, did you guys install the High-Res texture update?
-
Are you guys forcing anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering on in your video control panels? They should be set to application control.
-
Is this what you are talking about skuzzy?

If it was checked before.
<Image is a little smushed> use Ctrl > Scroll in/out to read it

My Gfx card is set to "application controlled" for both. (ATI Tray Tools)

Nope

Does the game even utilize anisotropic filtering? Transparency AA? MipMaps (Bilinear or Trilinear?)?
I'm so confused with how we should and shouldn't utilize the video settings.. Why can't I just set it in
my Nvidia control panel??
Also, there are only 3 anti-aliasing settings while my card supports six different modes.. This results in my not finding a happy medium between performance and eye candy..
I see no setting for Anisotropic Filtering in-game..
Should we run threaded optimization in the Nvida Control panel??
How come all my gauges are blurry??
I'm running the game at 1024 textures at a resolution of 1680X1050...
My frame rate took a serious hit.. It's down to 40 while it was always at a steady 60 before..
I had all these issues and more with the beta and figured they'd be all worked out by the time this was released....
Gonna do a little research and trial/testing to see what works best.. BTW, I'm running a Geforce 9600GT w/512 at 800/1100mhz(gpu and memory) respectively..
I think HTC has their work cut out for them on this one.... Here's to hoping you guys can get things worked out.. :rock

I flew in the beta a couple times anodizer and i cant remmeber having the blurry gauges problem then.
-
I had this problem to. I went to the Nvidia control panel and clicked on the default tab for Aces High and it changed a lot of things to application controled. After that everyting was good. I had set the card for SH4 and it changed the global settings I guess. I noticed it right away when logging on because the login screen was even blurry before.

I had it in the beta as well as the new patch....
-
Hopefully the smart HTC man will figure it out :salute
TT

Thank god! I thought my eyes were going to .....
Same problem with blurry gauges.
I have a Nvidia GF 7800 GTX
Running in 1024*768
1024 textures
And it didn't change when going from std res to Hi res patch.
AA set to application control
-
What game resolution are you running the game at? Do not assume it did not change after the first patch. Look in the "Video Settings".
Mine got changed to 1024x768 which made everything look blurry.

Resolution does nothing to change it.. I'm at 1680X1050...
I just tried 1440X900 and there was no difference.. Tried implementing AF via Ntune and there was no change..
Also, my system just froze for 10 seconds and then came back the instant I hit the ground....??
-
Klingan said 1024 x 768
Mine is defaulted to 1024 x 1280
And Andoizer was 1680 x 1050

I have always played AH in 1024*768 (what my Plasma tv can handle)
And that is what the video settings is set to.
-
Might want to check your monitor and video card refresh rates...you might have to tweak them to get clean video rendering.
-
FR is capped at 75, well within my card/monitors paramiters
-
Same here.

Twintail...if you video card and monitor refresh rates aren't set properly you will get blurry objects in certain instances...check to see what refresh rate your video card is set to (should be 60Hz with the resolution you are running) and then make sure your monitor is set to the same rate (doesn't always happen unless you're on a laptop)...as a last resort, drop to 1024x768 at 72-75 Hz and see what happens.
-
Same problem.
ATI 2600XT card.
Running at 1680x1060.
I've been trying all different combinations of settings and resolutions. Yet to clear the bluriness :(
-
OK, my video cards refresh rate 4 the 3rd time! are set correctly. 75 is well within its capability and it is the default.
With so many people having the same issue on so many different systems how could it be on our end?
-
Because your components are either not configured correctly, not capable of running the game, or not capable of running the game's selected settings.
-
Hey TwinTail, make sure you check that the monitor refresh rate is set correctly.

not sure if the picture will be visible or not,but either way I don't understand how a plane can become a bunch of alphabets like this, lol

You need to upload the picture to a web-server such as ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us). Once you upload the picture find the Direct Link and paste it inside the

or use the URL 1 or 2 copy and paste without the IMG/IMG

ok i Semi fixed the graphics inside the cockpit by turning everything to quality settings for my nvidia, too bad now the map is blurry?
Lemmi know if someone comes up with a concrete way to fix this crap.
