I am getting 59fps most all the time. When I get around an airfield my FR drops to about 40 then goes right up to 59 again. Sometimes it will drop and hang around 40 then go back up. When this happens it starts to stutter. I am running hires textures. 1024 size and a res of 1920x1200. Also my ingame memory says 512 available, 156m used. Also take a FR hit around the black smoke. If my system cant handle it with the settings I have. What parts do I need to update? I just had it built about 8months ago. Not affraid to make it better though.

I hope someone tells you to lower your textures. so I can come back with the :O face.
I'm not really seeing a grafx difference for the better and I'll leave it at that. Not work the hit in perf...at all.
Just my opinion. My fear is though, this game will become ww2online where the issues are blamed on a users system and not the game code or properly addressing hardware.
That's why I started flying here. Grafx weren't the best but it was a solid performance ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU WERE IN THE HEAT OF A HARDCORE DOGFIGHT AND READY TO FIRE. It is THE reason why I left ww2online years ago. Couldn't handle the stutters when you would be close up to another .
Skuzzy does an awesome job addressing the issues. I'm hoping he will be able to keep sane throughout the melee that will ensure after tonights batch comes through the pipe.

I think I fixed it. I donloaded the lastest drivers for my card and I think its gone. I only flew one sortie but was running 60fps whole time. Was in the smoke at an airfeild with lots of bad guys around and was good. Tomorrow will be the real test.

Stutters are better but still get them ocansionaly. Like a mini freeze. Almost like the game is loading a textrue or something. I can make it happen when I log on. First time I hit my guns. Now I shoot right away before getting into the fight. Happens other times, to but have not identified it. In a 30min sortie might happen 3-4 times. Before it was 3-4 times in a min around a base. Very playable now, just a nusance. I see others are having the same problem so I am sure you all are working on a fix.
:aok

I have the very same graphics card, and had same probelms. So I will say it first, change your resolution to 1280 X 1024 and refersh rate at 75 if available, ( it should be ). In the Video Settings under the game's clipboard change Max Texture to 512. Be sure to go to the main website and download the Hires texture pack for this release. After that read all the other posts everywhere with these same problems and try what is suggested. Some people like me have found a solution, some have not as of yet. My only other suggestions are to get the latest video driver for you video card, and download Service Pack 3 for Windows. O.k. go ahead Sinclair give him the Razzy!

SP2 of XP works just fine, SP3 will actually consume more resources. Your computer hardware is exceptional, no problems there. I would however take note of your processes. My assumption is that the processor is distracted causing those slight stutters during the game. Your processes list should be in the 20-30's when running AH.
-
I have 32 processes running. I will not get rid of the eye candy. Texture size is staying at 1024 and resultion will stay. I have tried 512 for tech reasons but it does nothing. I will upgrade my machine before going down in texture size/resolution

True SP 3 will consume some additional resources, if he doesn't do much more than use the PC for AH then for security reasons I guess there isn't a reason to DL it. If not he IMHO is taking risks otherwise. However you can free up alot of resources by using free programs like Game Booster from Iobit. I use it and seen many players benefit from it. You can get Game Booster from www.iobit.com (http://www.iobit.com).

Hardware upgrades won't be necessary as you have very good components in that system. Have you cleared/reset any entries for AH in the NVIDIA Control Panel then moving all settings for AH to, "Application Controlled"?

Yes, I have. This is what it looks like

Running SP2 is a problem? I use my pc for gaming mostly, but bills, facebook, and shopping are also done on this machine. I dont know how to install a service pack. I just told the store who built this machine I wanted XP and not Vista. Can someone tell me the diff between 32bit and 64bit? Im guessing I have 32bit. I keep seeing that but Im not sure what it is.
I dont have auto updates turned on. I installed SP3 after running the windows upate. Now I have 30 processes running.

You can set your computer for auto-updates in the control panel. You can also goto http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us (http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us). More than likely you are many security updates as well, so when you got to the site do the Service Pack 3 first, allow computer to reboot then go back and do the rest of the updates.

Your computer has the same CPU and video card as HiTech's computer does. With vsync disabled he is getting over 300FPS when playing.
In the Windows Task Manager, under the "Processes" tab, how many processes are running and in the bottom center of the panel, what does the CPU usage look like (watch it for a minute or two)?
-
30 processes, 0- 4%

Should I be running with Vsync off?

Should I be running with Vsync off?
For testing max FR yes, but not to play.
-
I was getting 280-300 with it off I believe. Around airfeilds with black smoke it goes down in the 40s. NDiles is where it always happens.
-
New patch didnt seem to help the stutters. Framerate around airfield is still a problem. Ndiles is the worst for me. My gunsight loads a lot faster now.
