Without any reference materials at the office, I have to guess based upon memory  :(

This looks like a British BEF 25mm anti-tank gun to me.

My regards,

Not a chance.. that barrel looks too heavy to be lousy 25mm.

It is at least 40mm.

Yeah, it does look rather thick in section. However, bore size does not determine wall thickness. This is determined by the associated pressures. Small caliber anti-tank guns tend to operate at very high pressures and velocities. Early guns were designed to penetrate the relatively thin armor of pre-war tanks. Not withstanding, you may indeed be correct.

Kind of thought it would be 6 pdr  :)
tho, I don't know how much 6 pdr is in centimeters so that was it. :I

Widewing,

It's a british gun which always looks so simple..
They put a barrel and give it enough thickness and mount it with a hole big enough for the ammunition.

anyways, I don't remember that brits used 25mm, frenchies did for sure though.
for 40mm whole barrel looks too thick.

The later 6pdrs had a thiner barrel and a muzzle break.
