Set all video card settings to Application Controlled and set antialiasing through AH video settings at startup to OFF. Make adjustments in the game one at a time to improve the look.
I suggest you start with the game controlled antialiasing but leave the video card set to Application Controlled.
Everything will improve if you follow this suggestion.
EDIT: It might be best if the AcesHigh profile in Nvidia Control Panel is deleted and a new one created. There have been issues in the past where a profile failed to update properly.

Download these two FREE programs also. It's helped everyone that has tried it. Look for Advanced system care and game booster

Great advice Chalenge!
Sticky anyone?

Nice, got my frame rates up from 4 to 8.

Great advice Chalenge, I just created a new profile in NVidia Control Panel for this version, didn't think about deleting the old ones. And A8Tool's advise is a good one too, helped my system to be more stable as well. Hats off to you both! :salute

Thanks Scratch I actually helped people online until it was a pretty sure thing this was working for everyone that has Nvidia. Seems that most peoples first thought is to get attention on their problem by starting a new thread first instead of reading around. Skuzzy is probably stretched pretty thin right now but I am sure the problem will seem a lot less numerous next week.
Im glad your eyeing the max-rendered frame line solved your problem too.

Chalenge, I know this is a stupid ? but I am unable to figure how to delete my current AH profile. I have a GT8500. Heck I can't even reset things without them reverting back to where they were. Driver issue?
Any help appreicated

This is a common problem and the cure can get a little messy.
Unistall your video card from device manager.
Your graphics will look low-res but be patient. Make sure to delete c:\ProgramData\nVidia (if you use nHancer particularly) and search for any presence of nvapps.xml on your system and delete it.
You should also remove nVidia Control panel and clean your system of all nVidia drivers.
Reboot
Then reinstall the latest drivers offered from your video card manufacturer and NOT nVidias massrelease drivers.
I hope that does it for you. I can post images and stuff this weekend but Im travelling right now.

An extra tid-bit of information: Use a program such as Driver Cleaner Pro (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/other_tools/driver_cleaner_pro.cfm) after removing all NVIDIA drivers via the Add/Remove Programs list. That will ensure any traces of the driver(s) left behind are cleaned up.

Just to add to this...if any of you are ATI users and want to do the same thing, you'll have to download a utility called ATI Tray Tools. http://majorgeeks.com/ATI_Tray_Tools_d4569.html (http://majorgeeks.com/ATI_Tray_Tools_d4569.html)
The option is under 3d settings and is called "flip queue"
It seems to have helped with some stuttering issues i was having. The utility also does some tweaks to the ATI driver that makes it a little faster. I recommend totally uninstalling your current ATI driver and installing the newest one from their website. Make sure you get the driver only version without catalyst control center. And then install Ati Tray Tools.
