Does ne one know why my game locks up and loses host connection whenever I try to turn terrain detail back on?

Your computer probably can't handle terrain detail.

no it can.  I ran it with it turned on, but when I turned it off to see how it looks i hated it so I tried to turn it back on.  Now i'm stuck.....
