Title: Patch two loading trouble.

Anybody else getting this message trying to load patch 2?

Why is it trying to do the ahfilm.exe file?  :huh

Dunno why it's trying to upgrade it maybe it's supposed to... However it's not happeneing. I even removed the ahfim.exe file and tried loading. When that happens I get a messege saying could not open ahfilm.exe

Do you have your game installed at C:\Games\Aces High?

Regardless of whether it's Vista or XP the old default was C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High now they are recommending C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High

Have you thought about downloading the fully updated game installer and re-installing?

I know what the old default was. Yes I use Vista and it had less problems if I loaded into the Games folder. I had no problems with Beta or Patch 1

Yeah I figure my next step if I can't get the patch to load is to full download. No biggie I'll screw with it tomorrow or over the weekend.

Download it direct. Click download, then "run" when it gets into a memory file.

Your probably downloading the file to hard drive and then right clicking "run as administrator". This time download as you normally would.

I had the same message.  Everything, including the film viewer, works just fine though.

Thanks Rich I did try it the normal way without being administrator. I tried the normal route of logging into the game and clicking yes to update. It gets to 97% and the process just disappears.
I've tried just running the program from the HTC site, and I've downloaded the program to my desktop and tried it. It gets to 97% and gives me the messege.

Hmm mine will not finish the load. I'm still running patch 1.

I just tried it myself shifty...same error at 99% and I have the game loaded in the new recommended default location:

That installation was from a fresh download and install of AH2141.  :huh Very odd.

Ok. Just start the game and let the game prompt you to the new version. Then download following the prompts.

Anyone notice the name of the patch file is 2131 to 2142?


Gonna try your suggestion now Rich.


*EDIT* Rich, it worked...also noticed the patch that got downloaded via the game interface as named 2141to2142.exe.
