Title: Offline Missions not Showing as available with Ver 2.14 Patch 1
Post by: Neil Roche on July 30, 2009, 07:23:06 PM: Recently I upgraded to Version 2.14 Patch 1 and I now can no longer fly my previously downloaded Practice Missions.

The the New upgrade placed the Aces High II files in C:\Hitechcreations instead of the old location which was C:\Programs\HTC

Because of this all of my Stick assignments, Sounds, Sights, Skins, and Practice Missions, etc were no longer in the right place to work.

What I did was:
1. Manually reset my Stick and Rudder assignments.
2. Coppied my C:\Programs\HTC\Aces High II (Sounds, Sights, Skins, and Practice Missions) folders to the C:\Hitechcreations\Aces High (folders).
This step eliminated having to redownload all my Sounds, Sights, Skins, and Practice Missions.

Following this, all worked fine Except the Practice Mission availability.

Now when I try to load up a Practice Mission, None show on the list.

Any thoughts as to why this might be.

is no longer possible :frown: until Hitech finishes with more updates, thereby,
should u wish to play the missions then I suggest u google AH2131 & download it
to HTC, where u had it & copy ur ahiiterr, missres, offmis files to AH2131 & u'll be
set to play the missions again & download the new missions. Enjoy :aok

Post by: HellFire on August 11, 2009, 02:57:54 PM: OK, where are u downloading AH2131 to, is it to C:\Games\HTC (best choice), if u are then u are set,dbleclk on the AH2131 & everything will be downloaded to WHERE U SPECIFY.
Check if u've offmis, missres files under the Aces High folder. Download ur missions to offmis, open (dbleclk) on the mission, now check on the mission itself (via notepad) as to what terrain it needs, chk ur aiiterrain folder if the terrain is listed, if not, logon to hitechcreations.com to terrains & d/l the missing terrain.

Btw, I tried the link u listed to AH2131, it works, my download was sucessful. Re-
member to designate WHERE u wish to domicile the downloaded file.

This is how I have the games downloaded:
AH2131 is in C:\Games\HTC\etc...
AH2141 is in C:\Hitechcreations\ ...etc
Thusly I've the best of both worlds, I play offline missions on AH2131 & enjoy
the new AH2141.

Post by: BrownBaron on August 11, 2009, 05:08:59 PM: Unfortunatley, i am and (and have) followed all the steps, im not completely retarded, but no matter the file path when i launch the app it has the new AH2141 splash screen (the spit and the 109) and says "version 2.14 patch 3" in the top right corner in green lettering....

Did you succesfully luanch V.1.31 after the D/L?

Maybe it's the games auto-updater? I'm gunna try blocking it with Windows defender and see what happens...but thanks for the attempt :salute

oh, i used to have that setup too, but thanks to a recent system crash, i lost EVERYTHING... :mad:

Unless somebody can email me their copy of V.1.31? I dont need non-essential files...i got my ahiiter, offlinemis, missions, etc.

So no matter how you install it you're not going to get 2.13.1. I'm still looking for the correct download. If anyone finds it can you please post it here?

1.Do you have a different version of AH on ur computer, or did not correctly uninstall a version?
2.If so, when?
3.Why does Hitech hate us???

I found a site in spanish that had the base AH 1.31 files for both XP/2K and Vista users, but it was 3 in the morning and i closed it... :D
If i find it again i'll try it out and post it for u...fingers crossed :pray

We may have to just wait for them to fix for the newest release since I have been watching this thread and no one yet has posted a working link. Everyone with the old version must have it from an older download, because it seems to be gone from the face of the earth :frown:. I'll keep watching because I am an eternal optimist :pray.

No dice, it just stays as 1.41, im thinking maple was right, everybudy wit 1.31 has it from a previous download

i try to extract AH2131-error Ox80004005: Unspecified Error

I click "Try Again" -"The same volume cannot be used as both the source and the destination"

I change the destination folder- same problem...

And i wasn't quite sure what to do with the .z01-3 files....thanks for all your help so far...i just need alitle more!! :salute :salute

But, WinZip can be configured with or without the context menu, so you may not have that option. :rolleyes:

Next post, let me know what version of WinZip you're using, and what Operating System.. OK?

Only problem is, I'm unzipping using WinRar, and about 60% through the unzipping process, the file is stated to be corrupt. I put them all in an HTC folder and unzipped the .zip file but it won't finish due to being corrupt.

I'm setting up Winzip right now but it's taking forever to determine my disk space requirements and I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time with Winzip. Not sure it will work.
