Title: vidmem
Post by: texastc316 on July 31, 2009, 02:58:29 PM
A couple of times last night after logging in, my vidmem showed 0.0. I'm not talkin used either. It normally reads 512. When this would happen, screen would freeze about every second for a second. Would also do this on the welcome screen, mouse would alternate from stop to go. Re logging worked some times, but not evertime. Never seen this one. Any ideas?

After patch 3 my vidmem went to showing 0 as well, when it should show 512. However I have no stutters and have had only 2 lockups in 8 hours of play. So this patch is still not quite there for me.

O.K. in my endless amount of tweaking I have found that when I put the max texture size back up to 1024 vidmem from 512 it shows the correct video memory of 512 within the game. But alas it only worked for correcting it in offline mode and not for the online mode. So what's up with that?  :x

Figured how to 'fix' it. On the start up screen when  my mouse is choppy I just go to video settings and click'ok' boom chop gone and vidmem fine. Works, don't know why

Thanks for the tip, I always have to do that, go to the video settings and click ok.. that shows it right.
