Symptoms:
When I first open AH and the page loads, my mouse is very laggy....If I click the video settings button and bring up the new menu then the lag goes away. I have to do that every time other wise the lag continues right into the game.
After a lot of trial and error and messing with the Nvidia control panel and down loading the current version I'm only getting 20 FPS with all AH settings on. After de-selecting items for water and terrain it bumps me up to 60 FPS. With every item checked I'm using 80mb out of 512mb on the vid mem., which seems extremely low.
Nvidia panel and settings.

Anisotropic filtering = application controlled
Antialiasing-Setting = application controlled
Conformant texture clamp USE HARDWARE
Maximum pre-rendered frames = 4
had some luck changing these things, by suggestion from several others.

Same problem only see Video Graphics issue (very strange

Integrated 8400 GS not that good of vid card you need to turn down not up. Also try 512 if your not allready in your vid settings. You might not be able to use 1024. Did you read the sticky at the top of page for vid setup by WAFFLE ?

Correct, the 8400GS is a rather low end video card. Simply uncheck the Options->Graphic Details->Advanced->Detailed Terrain option and the game should get as good of frame rate as it did int he old version.
