Title: This look right 2 you?
Post by: uptown on August 01, 2009, 07:53:09 PM: (http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk121/TheAmish/ahss48.jpg)I've done everything. Updated drivers, adjusted video settings a million different ways, but this can't be what the terrain is supposed to look like. The grass looks like carpet.

My vid cards are 2 8600GTs Nvidia running SLI. Never had a bit of trouble before update. Now FRs are through the roof, the ground looks like a rug, sand and water are blurry with poor depth perception close to the water. Here's the DXDIAG. I have the high texture terrain downloaded. I couldn't tell any difference between the two.

Notice the FR at 20 in screen shot. It goes from 1 to damn near 300 with alot of net status spikes.

There is no high texture terrain download. You have to enable it under Options>Graphic Detail>Advanced.

High res texture pack is for skins. It's always been there. You need to do what I said before.

Post by: Sc00ter on August 01, 2009, 08:11:38 PM: No not at all. Even mine looked better with the details turned on and a 13 frame rate. I bought a new vid card now i have better frame rate like 50ish and alot of detail i will post pic later

Post by: RufusLeaking on August 02, 2009, 09:25:53 AM: To answer the OP, yes, I get the same look with advanced graphics disabled. I can get a pretty steady 60 fps. It drops in the same situations in which it dropped before.

I have seen the new graphics and they are beautiful. Which is why I am scrambling to get my other, newer machine up to speed.
