Whenever I go to a concert and I study the stage setup...equipment, PA, Lights, Im always amazed that more people aren't hurt/killed when something tumbles over or falls down......and being an audience member close to any structure has its risks too....or even being a stage hand as was evidenced a week or two back when a stage collapsed in France and killed a stage hand.....
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/americas/08/02/canada.stage.collapse/index.html
snip: Billy Currington, a rising country star, was on stage when the storm hit, a source close to Currington told CNN, and his tour manager was literally pulling him off the stage when the collapse occurred. Currington suffered a mild concussion, scrapes and bruises, the source said, and was released from a hospital Sunday morning.
His bass guitarist, Alex Stevens, was trapped under the fallen stage and his arm was crushed, said the source. Stevens underwent surgery Saturday night but could be released from the hospital as soon as today, according to the source.

That's funny, I was thinking it was global cooling, so I went out side and discharged an old can of spray paint I had in the garage. Every little bit helps when fighting off the coming ice age.

Several of my friends were working/playing that show. Text messages are flying around town trying to account for everybody today. Scary stuff

Been though a couple of storms with those types of stages.....usually they'll skin the roof off the truss before it gets too bad.
Sad to see people got hurt....
Will be interesting to hear the story and the ohsa report.
