I'm trying to create a picture with the film viewer as I normally do. But I cannot seem to get the Film Viewer to bring up Water, Reflections, etc...
I've gone into the game (offline) turned them all on, saved the settings, and then exited but the film viewer doesn't pick them up.
Any clue?

I tried to recreate this but was able to get detailed water and reflections. My guess is that you're running Vista and it's not letting you save your graphics options. If this is the case then try setting the options while running the game as administrator. Or better yet, install Aces High to some other directory than Program Files.

I run XP... I'll keep messing around with it then. Thanks for the timely response Sudz.

None of my films, including my older version films, show the optimized Terrain, water, or reflections. I'm guessing it has to do with the new patch, and the controlling of graphic detail.

Shoot a new film in one of the new terrains and see if you get the details back. Terrains that HTC hasn't converted yet would get a poor man's conversion within the film viewer itself.

I was running the game as administrator but turned it off to see how it affected the white flash syndrome but discovered the surf scaling bug shows up when you do that. My film viewer doesnt seem to be affected either way.

It hasn't happened to me since patch 3, either. I think the thing that auto-ends detailed terrain if your FR is too low for a while is doing the same in the Film Viewer, which, since it takes super long takes really long to load. It would be nice if you could separately set graphics settings in the Film Viewer.

The film viewer does not auto-disable your graphic settings.

What would cause the film viewer to do something like this?

It apparently did to me tonight. I always have to turn back on High detail after entering an arena, but the graphics are fine. Tonight I logged out (with Hi Detail on) and opened a film and had low detail graphics in the film viewer. (Film was shot in the DA)
