Title: Why does it take so long to load?

Used to take only a couple seconds to load up with the old version. Now, everytime I leave to desktop and come back it take over a minute for it to fully load. Why does it take so long? anyway of fixing it?

Go to desktop? Why? Don't give your machine more to do. You want it to do less! Double click the icon and let her load.

Could be a connection speed thing too. Got any wireless connections? They're typically pretty slow too.

Lusche asked about this in the Beta a while back.


Lusche: "With the recent patch I found coming back to AH with alt-tab after having minimzed it still takes 25-30 seconds until "combat ready" opposed to ~3 seconds as with current and previous AH versions when selecting "preload textures in system memory"

My question: Is that something that could be "fixed" or something more like a feature resulting from a different coding approach regarding textures that won't be changed in the final version?"
