:rock
YES!!!!
-
Or you can ask my squad about the fail scale, measured in gigajonases/jonasbytes etc.
But I agree, They have no right to be called "rock".
We should hire mickey mouse to beat the watermelon out of them. Like south park all over again.
-
Rock n Roll is the Devil's Music! :devil
But yeah, Jo Ho's need to go.
-
I'm trying to set by boys straight on the music thing, but when I put on some Floyd or Skynyrd they just shake their heads and leave the room :frown:
-
The Jonas Bros are the most highly over rated band in the history of music! Quite a shame. Dragonforce is even better than them! All I ever hear here in America is how great the Jonas Bros are. Where are bands like:
Iron Maiden
Stratovarius
Metallica
Blind Guardian
:rock
I like everything music except cRAP, Hip Hop, and Country but the Jonas Brothers are by my least favorite band!

Wow.

Here's a band from back when I was in high school. Don't think many have heard of these guys but check them out. One of my favorite all-time groups.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6lXaPPE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6lXaPPE)

Not rock (sort of borderline between rock and VERY hard jazz) but DAMN could this guy play:

"...teach kids what real music is! "
Congratulations! You've become your father. lol
"...That aint rock (ref to kid listening to Led Zep, Floy or the Stones)
....Gosh darn it. I'll put on some rock fer ya!"
....(sees dad drop a 12" record by the Big Bopper into a vacuum tube
....powered Westinghouse floor console...)

You can't expect people under the age of 30 to appreciate that sort of music.
I can't wait to torture my children with my music. Muawhwahaha. :lol
Imagine driving them and their friends somewhere while listening to this!

Hahaha. They're going to hate me.
With any luck, they'll hate the lame rubbish going around at the time (I hope to christ that rap is dead and gone by then.... no child of mine will be listening to a bunch of bananas like 50cent and whatever else those nuggets call themselves) and actually like a bit of metal.

strap them to the chair then
-
i'm not worried about it.
wait a year and some other talentless hack mass marketed towards short attention span preteens will be doing the same damn thing, same as always. the kids grow out of it eventually...at least these guys are halfass decent role models compared to some of the previous so called "artists" making money off people to young or stupid to know better.

One of the worst and most boring concerts I've ever been to was a Metallica show I saw in '98 when I still lived in San Diego.

Just be happy that they're growing up in 2009, and are males. If your daughter was growing up in the mid 1990s-early 2000s, you'd have far greater headaches than the Jonas Brothers.

I would make a list of all my favorite bands, but then I'd fill up 6 pages of this thread :D :rock

How many? Probably over 100.

It really amazes me how serious people get over music... Every generation has that toejam band and that one person who was famous for no reason. Remember though these people were toejam tards when it came to musical talent. Let it go and listen to what you enjoy.
-
But...how many other concerts have you ever attended?
I used to love big gigs.... I used to get right into the mosh pit and come out dripping wet.
Crowd surfing... stage diving.... I did it all.
Now I'm an anti-social bastid and I hate all of that watermelon with a passion.
I like small gigs now.... less knob-heads and no one spilling your beer.
If I go to see a band play, I want to see and hear everything.
That's why I've found the whole 'Black Mass' idea so appealing of late. Small gigs, small crowds and good music.
-
I can vouch that the high-school age kids mostly wish they'd fall off the face of the planet. My school nearly burst into a riot when a rumor started spreading that they fell apart because one of them was after some tail.
Not kidding in the least.

I know man. I can't figure out how the Jonas Brothers can be any worse than say.. Captain and Tenille, the Bee Gees, New Edition, the New Kids on the Block, the Backstreet boys... it just goes on and on. These boys didn't invent crappy music, there's a major pedigree here.

Mainly the fact that they're nothing but Disney hype and there's LITERALLY nothing to their music is what gets to me. Out of that list the only ones I experienced were the Backstreet Boys. Irritating, sure, but if you pay less attention to their music, it's at least somewhat catchy. The Jo's...not so much.

Great tune. :rock
I've actually been listening to more Iron Maiden lately, not sure why, it's like a relapse. After seeing them in concert in 1987, took a few years off, now listening again. Go me.
Edit: J Boys SUCK

Exactly..you have more room to work with on what's boring compared to others...I've never attended a concert...
