Since the new version and all applicable patches, seeing gv's through the turret seem much smaller than they actually are in relation to the distance from them. For example, I fully zoomed in on a squaddie at 1.2K away and the tank looked as if it was 2K or more away. Definitely not as large as it used to be. I have heard some others mention this in game as well.
I run my screen at 1680x1050 and in the old version I had the screen setting to wide screen. That option however has been removed from the current video settings. Would manually changing the "field of view" option alter this. I have also noticed that when on the ground towns and bases look farther away than they actually are.
Anyone else notice this or could provide some info? Thanks

I completely agree ........ everything looks smaller.... at the same resolutions
goto your turret and dont zoom in....... even the crosshairs appear much smaller now than before

I run my screen at 1680x1050 and in the old version I had the screen setting to wide screen. That option however has been removed from the current video settings.
The program now automatically set the FOV for widescreen if you have chosen a widescreen resolution. You can, however, manually change the FOV if you wish before you click to go online.
I'm not sure if this is the problem or why your GV's seem smaller. I guess I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm in a GV.

FYI I did adjust the field of view some but don't like it very much. I guess I will have to play with it til I get the right setting I can be comfortable

Ok, so it's not just me who thinks this, it was the first thing I noticed about the new version.
