I am not sure how many other people have seen the advertisements about this "230" thing but it has me really interested.
I saw it come up as an ad before a youtube video and all it was is a green background with the letters "2" "3" and 0 which is an electrical socket with a smiley face. It also has the date of 8-11 (August 11th)
In the video it says nothing but gives a web address:
www.whatis230.com
And the website doesn't explain anything either.
Any ideas?

Yeah, their marketing campain is working. :aok
You don't have any idea what the product is but you are already interested. :x

Most likely something that has a decent purpose but at the same time is entirely useless and priced in a way that nobody in the general population could afford it, even if they were mind-raped into believing they wanted it.
Wonder where I've seen that before? :D /\ /\ /\ /\ /\

It means USA will leave all the 110V crap and move up to 230V, meaning u'll all have to re-purchase all your appliances, and trade this $6000 big screen TV. :O
-
It's a remake of the movie 300, but with fewer actors.
-
I think it has to do something with dirty hippies doing something with our power at 2:30 on August 11th.
-
It's co-hosted on a server with dubious sites such as truckstoplove.com :devil

Its gonna be my new weight if I keep eating these delicious gummy bears

Its the ad for the upcoming Ford Volt which allegedly gets 230 miles per gallon of gas.
of course.. the car uses electricity for 40 miles then switches to the gas engine so those 230 miles are... subject to interpretation.
Oh.. and $40k price tag. All the 'savings' you'd get by using this car are spent upfront just buying it. Lol I swear I dont understand the retards that buy these 'green' cars.

if it has $40,000 ride, interior and workmanship, then theres no problem...if its a diddlying dressed up cavalier, then its a problem.
-
ride... interior.. worksmanship .
I've yet to sit on a ford that offers any of the 3 above.

Electric Car Fans,
Ever wonder where the juice coming out of the socket comes from?

If I plugged in, I would imagine it would mostly come from the nuclear power plant (the infamous Three Mile Island) that is so close to me you can see the steam coming from the cooling tower most days :)

So if you drove a plug-in electric vehicle, you'd have a real nukulear powered car. Kool :)

I was just a few dozen miles away in West Chester, PA when all that went down.
That was the first time I remember reading the newspaper as a kid, because I wanted to.
