Has anyone else seen this site?
 http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/8217/perf.html (http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/8217/perf.html)
It would be great if someone with way more knowledge than me could do something like this for all the AH planes.

The source code for the applet is at the bottom of the page, but unfortunately - 2 of the files are missing!   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
If you want I could do some more .gif's like this one(NB: Spit 14, F4U-4 and P-47M are "real" numbers, the rest are AH performance):
  http://www.geocities.com/qwejibo2000/latespeed.gif (http://www.geocities.com/qwejibo2000/latespeed.gif)
(edit - seems geocities doesn't allow remote viewing of images anymore...)
The applet would be infinitely more useful though, as you could compare planes much more easily than on a cluttered graph with 20+ lines on it(plus I'd run out of colours to use!).

Juzz, If thats the one I'm thinking of, I have the applet working on my old website and I have the code.
Its a matter of sitting down and "mapping" all the break points in each aircrafts performance curves.

That would be great Verm.  You da' man!

Vermillion; e-mail an example of the data file the applet uses and I'll input all the AH fighter speeds.

			-
Will do... If you don't hear from me within a few days, send me an email reminding me.  Its gonna be a busy week at work for me and I don't want to forget to do this.

I know I'm probably pushing my luck since someone else is doing the work, but... Any ETA on the finished product Juzz?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  This would be a great utility.  Maybe HTC will put it up on thier site as a link of the individual aircraft pages.

Why does the P-47M speed scale linearly in direct proportion to altitude when none of the other planes do?

			-
Frost, we're working on it. Right now Juzz has finished the data file, but I'm having a file format problem on the website end. And Ihaven't figured out what is going wrong, so as soon as I have it fixed, we will get it out to you.
Sancho, are you asking about the difference between the turbosupercharger on the M model versus superchargers on the other aircraft?

The P-47 is the only plane on the chart with a turbocharger -> constant power up to it's 30k critical altitude.
The other planes have superchargers -> varying power over altitude.

Ok thanks.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  I need to do a little more reading on that turbosupercharger.  Where's my P-47 pilots' manual...  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
