I was thinking that whenever we carry troopers in a plane of gv, we should hear "blood on the risers" playing in the background. It would be behind all but the game noises, you could hear voice, and shooting ontop of it, but other then that, you would hear the song no matter how high you have the engine noises and whatnot. You would have troopers with the song, and troopers without. You would hear it untill you got .25K away from the last trooper you droped. This is half a joke. I would enjoy it in the game if it wan't that hard to do, but I wouln't care if we didn't get it; it would just be a novelty.
For those of you who are unfamilare with the song it goes:
He was just a rookie paratrooper. He surely shook with fright.
He checked off his equipment, and made sure his pack was tight.
He had to sit there and listen to the awful engines roar.
And you aint gona jump no more.
Glory, Glory, what a helluva way to die.
Glory, Glory, what a helluva way to die.
Glory, Glory, what a helluva way to die.
And he ain't gona jump no more.
There is more and it is sung to the tune of "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Google " 'Blood on the Risers' lyrics" to get the full song.

haha, i love that song, thats a +1 :aok :rock
if, by some miricle, it is added, your troops should be easy company of the 506th regiment of the 101st airbourne, you know, the band of brothers.
-
I sing that song all the time! :x
-
If you put the song in the C-47 sound folder and name it warning.wav, it will play for you when you break dar rings. I have different songs that play for different planes on mine. The song would have to be converted to an 8 or 16 bit, PCM 22Khz .wav to work in-game.

Yes, by some ironic twist of fate. If it gets added I think I should get a bonus of some sort.
And Ranger, I was just thinking about that, but then I thought, "hey, why shouldn't everyone be able to share in this hilarious, joke and novelty?"
Oh, and seeing how good the responses are, I will bump this up to a real request.
And shifty, you misspelled airborne. Lets all get drunk and sing the night away.

OMFG!!! That is the best story I have heard in a while.
Any way...I was thinking we should have it so there is a button next to the troops that will turn on the music.
Can one of the administrators who are incharge of this crap tell me how hard it would be? If I can I will do as much work on it as I can do.

Great. We already have people struggling to see anything in the game, now we're going to tax their sound chips too? No thanks.
