Title: Me 163 burn time... off?
Post by: Eagleclaw on August 06, 2009, 11:27:25 AM
I've noticed that the ME 163 only has a 5 minute burn time, I thought the ME 163 had a seven minute burn time, or does it have a seven minute burn time and I just don't know it? Because two minutes is a lot of time in WWII jets.

This was partly to blame.... the fuel burn rate was changed.

Edit: Btw....the Me-163 is a rocket powered airplane, not a jet.

Flight model is totally different now. Climb "feels" significantly increased, and compression sets in much sooner, so you have to watch your IAS/TAS gap as you get higher, or as you dive down to land. You start shaking like an jello dish in an earthquake if you go too fast (onset of self explosion, feels more like!)
