This film is dedicated to all VT-S pilots, who flew during frames 1 and 2.

  In this scenario, there are many battles occurring simultaneously, and this film shows but a small slice of the battle.  Our success in frame 1, sinking 2 carriers, was completely different from our experience in frame 2.  Nonetheless, it was awesome to fly with a great group.  What you are about to see is a view from the Strike Commander's perspective.  The taste of failure and success lies within teamwork, luck and experience earned through trail and error.

Can't wait to watch.  I had a blast representing VT-S.  Enjoyed frame 1 and look forward to frames 3 and 4.

me and twin murdered a d3a group and i got a load who just dropped on the lexington.

Thank you again for taking the time to download and watch the film.  <S>

  Aces High Coral Sea map is simply beautiful!  The film was recorded live during the battle, which did take some time to put together.  It wouldn't be what it is if not for the VT-S pilots who gave it their best during the scenario.  The views seen in the film are what anyone in a scenario can see and experience, should they choose such a journey.

The final 2 frames of the Battle of Coral Sea Scenario 2009 will be Saturday Aug 8th and 15th 3pm Eastern.


And Bruv, your time will come, and I shall be there when it does!

VT-S. That would be Group Torpedo Shokaku. See the big red-nosed dangly things? :D D3As don't carry those.

As a member of VT-S I can say that I have never felt so helpless as I did flying the Kate. The only weapons that are available to you are a torpedo, and a 7.62mm machine gun facing backwards. It will not shoot straight back mind you because you might shoot your tail off. That and you have to be almost close enough to use your one gun (except it's facing backwards) to drop your torpedo. Oh and did I mention that you have to fly under 200mph and 200ft, and pretty much in a straight line to drop your torpedo.

I'm sure glad in frame three, and four we get the TBM's.

Flying this scenario really made me appreciate what courage it took to fly the real missions that were flown on both sides.

I'll download this and check it out tonight.  Something tells me the footage from Frame 1 of my rampaging single-toothed TBM didn't make the final cut though.  :aok

I wasnt thrilled about flyin the B5n in the test frame, but since it was special events I was definitly willing.  IMO, some of the best times I've had in AH have been in SEA w/ terrible planes in a good group. 

By chance I hooked up w/ VT-S.

Before the frame started Kermit did a good job of giving us an overview of the event and explaining our plans for the next 3 hours.  While flying around waiting for the spotters to find our targets he gave us some insight into the actual battle, and updated us for our attack.

Both the test frame and Frame 1 were great fun regardless of the results.  I missed out on frame 2, and I am kickin myself for it.

I'm lookin forward to frame 3.  Blue planes!

Great movie. I thoroughly enjoy your synchronization of footage with your music selection. You're a great camera man with an immaculate sense of which music selection would fit the atmosphere of the movie.
