OK. I guess the last patch did'nt quite work the way it was supposed to. I have been able to play fairly well with the graphics detail on, but on Sat. night, the game play was horrible.
I had stutters constantly, frame rates went down to 5, and the game shut down on me 4 times before I decided to call it a night.
And that was after I turned off detail.
Anyone elses have that?
-
Got 2 instances of "aces high had a problem" then shut down...but that's it so far.
-
same here. But it happened at bases where there were massive amounts of players. like 141 in orange. Just think too many in one area. My graphic settings were dumded down at one point
-
Was hapening to me all day Saturday. I saw others warping badly also
-
I wrestled with my old ATI 9800 to get the game to play right. Did tolerably well yesterday.
-
Through all the iterations up the last patch I have had no difficulties and a good frame rate with everything turned on or up.
This last patch I am having lockups and dumps to desktop.
:O

Mine will lock up, but sometimes it comes back if I wait long enough.
Problem is that it looks like I Alt-Tabbed to desktop and came back in.
Everything is black, white and grey.
I have a low end comp but the lock ups were'nt there before patch 4.
-
After this last patch I have no stutters and no huge FR drops so it's much better for me.

See Rule #4

I've had the game lock up twice entering the arena since the patch. I can alt-tab out though, shut the game down and re-start it.
I also got disco'd last night but that's because we lost power in the neighborhood after some storms. I guess I can't blame that one on HT. :D

Must not be that bad, seeing as how I noticed you in LW Orange last night...
-
I still seem to be getting good performance with it. good fr, good net status. i feel as if i'm missing shots i wouldn't normally miss though.
-
It is that bad for me,and have not been there to much, thought i would give it a try but with my GFX turned to Mario mode i hit the ground three times and ocean once, also i cant tell what way the planes are going with GFX turned down. But not complaning just telling you why i was there.I don't expect i will be able to play eather at all or as much as i want till i can afford to build something better. But i just got to say when i pay for a product most times i get a fineshid product. And i don't say why it is so hard for me to play now to cry..i just think HTC might like to know,as i am paying to beta test i should tell them whats going on.

Try finding an example of a video game sold in the last 10 years that was not updated after going Gold.

Or for that matter, one that wasn't patched more than once within 3 months after hitting the shelves. Sony, EA, Ubisoft, Firaxis, etc...not one has released a computer game that didn't need to be patched at least once after it hit the retail market, sometimes an "update" is pushed before the first copy is sold. Almost all game developers stop supporting a game as soon as a sequel is released. And yet people are willing to drop $50 a crack on games as soon as they hit the shelves without even knowing how they will work on the computer they were playing the old games on.
See Rule #4
I wouldn't complain about how HTC is handling the improvements to a game that has been around for as many years as AH has been around. You should figure on upgrading your computer at least every 3 yrs...or sooner.
-
My system just locked up twice in a row.
I guess I'm done flying until the next patch.

That applies to pretty much all software - not just games.
If its OK for Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle et al to issue patches weekly, why not HTC?
