Title: Where do I start
Post by: 2old2fly on August 09, 2009, 03:20:57 PM
Gamma darkens on its own; fleets disappear in the bombsight; flickers; can't armor unless its right on top of me; there is no terrain detail-by default. If I, like most folks, turn it on it sucks the life out of my system and I'm running dual video cards. In short this "new" update while exciting at the beginning is getting to be a real pain in the butt. Microsoft could have done a better job of realeasing software before its time. I'm hearing that players are spending money for new graphics cards just to play the game. The updates are fixing anything.

And on top of all that you need a grammar checker.

Since you didn't post any real information. Don't run dual video cards in SLI mode (it's wasted on this game and barely supported by the drivers)...if you're using Windows Vista make sure the game is installed outside of C:\Program Files...if you're running Windows Vista, try Win98 compatibility mode...

When you're done whining, post your dxdiag info and any other pertinent information you have about your system and maybe one of the HTC people will have some suggestions for you.

And on top of all that you need a grammar checker.

And on top of that, the non-constructive anonymous remarks need to be shelved.

I moved this to Technical Support as there was little to no information which indicates any type of bug.

If you want help, we are happy to oblige.  A DXDIAG output would be helpful to start with.

click on the start, then run. Type in dxdiag then hit enter. Windows will build the report. It might ask if you want it to check for windows labeled blah blah blah  :D just click yes and let it run. After a couple of minutes it will finish. In the lower right side of the windw that opened there will be a button that say "save to text". Click that and save the file someplace you can find it....desktop is a good place. Open the file you just made and post the first third on the boards for a bunch or look sees and replies, or email the whole thing to Skuzzy with you issues and he'll take a look and maybe be able to help you out. Give him some time if you go strait to Skuzzy, boys busier than one arm paper hanger.
