Ok....here is a few.
1) I think this one is a must. When you are in turreted vehicle, an icon representing turret and chassis position should be on screen.
Like this:

It should help player to be more aware of his position in 3d world. I think this one is very easy feature to add, since i do programming for living i volunteer to help in this one ;)
2) "Return to 0 position" key
Just a keyboard shortcut which will reset turret to 0 degrees position when you press it. Not necessary, but it might be usefull.

Agree and Agree!

good idea i like it alot :aok

#1) Yes
#2) No if you mean it instantly returns the turret bearing to 0 degrees. Yes if the turret rotates back at its given speed.

No, of course not instantly.

Heck yeah, this idea would be great for ppl who get lost goin around the block!!!
We can add it to, Miracle zoom tank sights, cursor aiming, Custom gunsight reticles, Clipboard map GPS, and instantanious vehicle repair and resupply!!!
Don't just push that easy button, LEAN ON IT MAN!!!!
:rofl RC

We already have those :)
Would be doing a lot if we had the fixed magnification (or sometimes 2 position switchable) like they did in the real world.
Plus, a "turret clock", how this device is called, can be found on nearly every tank build since the 30s, no biggie.

I say no to this. To gimmicky and unrealistic. Yes I do take the time to remember where my front and my gun are pointed at all times.

Sounds like something else for people to whine about when I kill them.

We have all of them :aok

+10, but to be fair, it is pretty easy to move forward and see if the ground moves toward you, sideways, or away from you (of course meaning turret forward, sideways, and facing backward).

How is it gimmicky to represent through an icon what the commander of a crewed vehicle would know?
How is it gimmicky for a crewed vehicle to return its turret to the front if your player is at that moment in the driver's position?
I don't see it on either point. In fact, I see it as quite the opposite -- a logical compensation for the fact you are one player attempting to perform the functions of a four to five man crew.

:aok +1
And its no less gimmicky than your turrets in a bomber "magically" returning to the 6 o clock position every time you jump out of it... but that actually annoys me.

You, as commander of your GV, should already know where the turret is pointing. After all, you pointed it there.
