Title: hawk sketch

Just finished this and scanned it last night.  It's not a great piece but not too bad for a sketch I don't think.  I did it mostly to test out some new sepia toned pencils I bought the other day.  Turns out that I don't really care much for them but I like the pic ok, considering it's not really a detailed drawing.  I usually don't care too much for how sketches come out, but I like this one.

I am no artist, but I must say that the eye is hypnotic.  Nice job.

Thanks everyone!  For whatever reason, this pic here is way bigger than the actual drawing, maybe it's got something to do with cropping it somehow.  I don't know.    I'm working on some more detailed pics of actual airplanes now, I'll post them up when I'm done.

  Really nice!   I love the eye and also the end of the beak. Looks solid. Great shading.
