Post by: RipChord929 on August 11, 2009, 04:38:32 PM
Waiting impatiently for the release date.. Some of you guys are more connected to the whole flight sim world than I.. So I'm wondering if anyone has heard a concrete release date?   I've only heard "September"....
Also, who most likely would be the first retailer to recieve the GOODS?  Would like to preorder!!!  All the buzz that I'm reading about it, seems like It's going to be a hot commodity... I've been waiting since June!!!
Don't wanna be on some milelong waiting list!!!

:furious I WANT IT NOW,  :rofl :rofl :rofl

Any sneaky info would be appreciated,  :D

Actually I think this has a chance, they went out and got guys from other companies. A good comparison would be DFI which was pitiful until they went and grabbed the head design guy at ABit. I've been holding off replacing my X-52 till I can get a look at one of these...

The metal guts of this stick is a huge departure from the nylon and plastic normally found in Logitech sticks.  Time will tell.

$300!!!  :huh I'll wait for the sequel...always been a logitech fan but for that kind of money I'd buy proven CH hardware.

Well, I forked the money over this morning... $299.99 free shipping, from Amazon....
REALLY looking forward to this!!!  No more twisty stick for me!!!  And a cool, easy
to use, dual throttle for my A20...

:x Kinda silly, but feel like a kid, a week away from christmas...

Be sure to write a review on it sometime after it's been used.  Joystick is the only thing non-Logitech thing on my desk (except of course for the things they don't make, ex. monitor), would be nice to get back to them after they 1) drop the price and 2) prove it's better then the old ones. :)

Oh I will... Working on a plan to get the stick mounted rigidly between my knees,
throttle on the left, and pedals mounted firmly... So I have a consistant flight
position.... A sim pit I guess!!!   I already use a 47in 120hz HD monitor, which I keep
at the right distance from my eyes... So it gives the right visual perspective, and
an almost lifesize canopy frame and gunsight, without having to zoom.. And TrackIR5..
This HOTAS is the last element that I'm missing.. For me, I think its Just the ticket!!!
Plus, it has force feedback!!!  That will really help in the immersion aspect as well!!!
Longevity??  I guess that I'll find out!!!

WOOOHOOOO!!!  :rofl

The only other thing I can think of, is 2 more 47in Monitors, to give the whole
peripheral vision thing.. But, I think my wife would watermelon bricks over that!!!
"But Honey, I only need $2400 bucks more...!"  LOL!!!
