Breda Ba-65.

Could someone post some info about this plane (assuming that it's a Breda)? I thought I was at least somewhat familiar with most WWII aircraft but I don't think I've ever seen or heard of this one.

Italy had some of the nicest aircraft in the early to mid war years, but they had the Breda 65 too ;)
Intended as a combo light bomber, scout, attack and intercepter( ), it excelled as an air to air target. Most were two seaters, but some were pilot only.
Speed: 255mph
Engine: one 1,000hp FIAT A.80 18cyl
radial
Guns: two 12.5mm and two 7.7mm mgs forward, one 7.7 for rear gunner.
Bombs: 300kg in bomb-bay, 200 under wing, but most often just one of the two choices.
Range: 342 miles.
And it was uhg-ly.

Thanks for the info, M.C.. The Italian flair for design certainly was somehow misplaced when this one was on the drawing board.
