Anybody else hearing backround music randomly while playing.
it sounds like a cross between call of duty fines hour, band of brothers and medal of honor.
its great music, although noone else seems to hear it but me.
i know its coming out of my speakers because i can change its volume.
it happens randomly in flight or in the tower.
just want to know i dont have to call a therapist.
-
 uh...I can give you the number to my therapist...and my ear nose and throat doctor.
-
cont.
it may be apart of my soundpack.
probably not but whatever.
still checking up on it.
-
Most likely your soundpack. I remember hearding some of the "base under attack" sounds that were clips from movie soundtracks.
There are also some "interesting" check-6 sounds.
-
 I never hear anything beside my engine
-
Sandwich, if you are using sound packs, taht's likely where the music is coming from. i know there's a soundpack I used that had a very epic sweeping style orchestral sound that came every time a base was under attack, instead of hearing "Your base is under attack" you'd hear that music and the standard air-raid klaxon.

Thats exactly what i hear.
thank you for confirming my sanity.

I've heard sirens before coming from a specific direction when flying far away from any base.
-
That's my soundpack sandwich. If you want to turn it off, simply delete or rename the warning.wav file, it will revert to the default sound.
:salute

i like the music
love the soundpack too
i just wanted to confirm my sanity

I have the EXACT issue (and have had for quite some time), except no sound pack in place on the new version. Launch from a base under attack and you can hear that bloody siren for thirty miles. I've gotten so accustomed to it, I couldn't even tell you if it eventually shuts down but I believe it does.
Skuzzy pointed a finger at my Turtle Beach Riviera sound card but that's what I have for now.

I have an Audigy ZS 2 sound card.
It came from one direction while flying a TBM on the deck in the middle of the ocean.

Yeah... last night I was checking this. Upped from a CV, siren going off. Twenty-five miles later, siren still blaring in my ears. As I moved my view around, I discovered that by looking left (I'm guessing away from the CV bridge and the siren), the sound stopped. Straight ahead, back, and to the right... siren.
I've even turned the sounds all the way off in the master volume control. It is as if there is no controlling sounds on my machine now. :uhoh
-
there's a control for the air raid siren in the game sounds options. just move it to zero also there's an entry for some kind of title music or something. I forget what its called just check toward the bottom and move it to zero.

At least you guys are hearing music...I just keep hearing, "Changeup your shoe flew by my plane when you got blown up!" or, and I love this one, "Changeup, your plane keeps making and exploding sound...can you get that fixed?", LOL
