Title: custom planes
Post by: shifty95 on August 14, 2009, 01:21:34 AM
hey guys. i was wondering, and i know this would take up alot of space, if once you got enough perks, you could build your own plane. how cool would that be? take the armor on an f6, the engine of a p51, the cannons of a spit, and the manuverability of a typhoon. merge the best of both worlds, eh? that would be cool in my opinion. although, so people wouldnt be cheap, i would do piston engines only, no jets.

Probably not feasible technically, before you even get to whether it's fitting for the game. :)

typhoon?

seriously
i would go for spit maneuverability or zero maneuverablility

i mean why not just go all the way

i would like an a20 with the engines of a tempest, guns of a bf110, ammo of the p38 (500 rpg), the maneuverability of a zero, ords of a lanc and armor of the b17.

shifty95, you are playing AH since when? 2 weeks...

Lets assume that you wish comes true. I guess that wish will cost you about 10000 perks (a least!). How many fighter perks to you have by now?
Do a little calculation and then you will see how many time you have to spend in a Spitfire, killing other cartoon planes, until you reach
10000 perks.

But...if you would wish that there were no school holidays, how cool would that be?   ;)

Been playing for over 3 years and only have 4,000 fighter perks here. So, by my standards, it would take him about 7 years.

oh well, 7 years is a too short time frame. This uberplane then should at least cost 50000 perks.

After 3 months?? probably had 300  :) . the only perk fighter I ever fly are the 262 and Spit 14, and I rarley ever take the 262 so I'm just saving up perk points for nothing other than my Spitfire  :D

The P-262
The best fighter plane of WWII

What happened to the 3rd engine?
The one that powered the central heat and air conditioning.

You mean this one?  It was the P-262 MKII.  In addition to the AC, they decided to forgo giving it the ability to carry ords, and instead added space for 2 16 gallon beer kegs.

Lets make it the speed of a 262. If we are increasing manuverability with no cause then lets do it for speed two. Oh, and the range of a B-24. And the defensive armament of the B-29.

The armor of an A6M.. the maneuverabilty of a Typhoon... the rocket like climb of a P-47 and the raw firepower of a C.202

Now that would be a great fighter!

I was thinking of the firepower of the Ju88's forward armament.

How did whoever started this think it would get anywhere but here?

Still fits the Jeep... but I'd rather have the Jeep.

Jeep has a .50. That monster is overkill.

If I didnt have to leave for a baseball game in about 15 minutes, I would say lets go in game and have some Jeep races!

I flipped a Panzer 12 times in the air many years ago driving off a steep cliff in the original Pizza map doing about 100+MPH.  Was fun but kind of made me dizzy.

how bout, the armor and dive rate of the A6M, the engine of the hurricane mk. 1, the climbing ability of a 110, the manuverability of a loaded p47, the speed of a B5N, and the armament of an I16. the worst of all worlds. :lol

Speak of the Devil, he shows up on your door step. I did something almost exactly like that only with a panzer. I spent 3 hrs climbing a cliff above an enemy gv base, went full tilt over the cliff. Miraculously I landed right side up, and on an AA gun.
