Title: Chat Ban
Post by: Thunder13 on August 15, 2009, 02:06:18 PM: How long does a chat ban last because i got one and i don't know why. I said a few bad things at first but then i stoped. Later at about 3 in the morning i got banned when i was talking to someone. I don't remember saying any thing bad. PLZ HELP ME :cry

What is means is that at the time you "said a few bad things", someone used the .report command to report you. AH got around to checking out the report and your access to chat was suppended at that point. There is only one thing you can do and that is to obey the rules.

Up a little late, weren't you? You said "bad things" and got banned. Quit your whining and take your medicine.

That is probably one of the most misused sayings out there. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. :D

I believe there are options for report chat and report vox.

Ah...well that explains it - soon after joining AH I was dissertating on 200 regarding the mating habits of homo sapiens of the Castle Clan and their near relatives of the canine family - all with a sincere thought towards educating one of our less aware individuals as to proper politeness when sending "private" messages to people they had not been properly introduced to. :frown:

Alas...No doubt some confusion arose over certain "technical" wordage I employed in this well meant diatribe and, so, causing great anguish and emotional damage to said individual - they felt compelled to defend themselve from such. Lo and behold an hour or 2 of solitude was my lot in life at the time. :confused:
