Title: German planes not the only ones missing weapons loadouts

Consider this information regarding the P-51:

"Almost all Block-25 and subsequent Ds had underwing hardpoints not only for bombs and fuel tanks but also for various types of rocket launchers. These included zero-length stubs for six 5-inch rockets or as many as ten if no drop tanks were carried. Alternatively, "Bazooka" tubes could be carried in triple clusters. There were a few field conversions to special armament fits, examples including two tanks and six 100-lb bombs, four 100-lb bombs, plus 36 fragmentation bombs, or four 75-Imp gall drop tanks. CBI aircraft usually had a direction-finding loop antenna ahead of the fin. "


Now, I'm not asking for all this crap to be included into AH.  I'm just posting this to help dispell the myth of LW planes being uniquely handicapped   :)

Well, I didn't realize it was a myth.

If any aircraft is missing an important loadout, it should be added. If having 2 dragalicious trios of rocket tubes is what you want, then by all means you should get them.

so you want more bomb rockets and drop tanks fer the p51  :rolleyes:

I bet yas get umm before any axis (japan include) get a decent loadout for an attack aircraft.

That p51 comment would be taken more serious had the ah p51 only been modeles with 6 100lb bombs and no rockets.

But that aint the case so who gives a toejame what the p51 needs  :eek:

Try re-reading my post--it may seem like I'm saying that at first.  However, at the bottom I mention that I'm NOT asking for that junk.  Actually I never take off with rockets/bombs attached to my plane, so I wouldn't really care if the AH P-51 had NO ground attack options.

I posted it for the sole purpose of showing that it's not only LW planes that lack every historical armament option.  A few people seem to think there's some sort of anti-LW conspiracy, and I hope to show otherwise.

So basically it wasn't a constructive post, it was just to see what kind of a knee-jerk reaction and flame fest you could start up.  :rolleyes:

No Raub, it wasn't that sort of thing and I hope it isn't seen like that.    Seriously, I only posted it to show that the LW isn't being singled out.

Please HT, I'm begging you.  Add these options to the P51 for 1.09.  That one small act could produce whines the likes of which haven't been heard since Sally Struthers was told the buffet at the Sizzler was out of fried chicken!  :D

are you sure the P-51D-25-LO had provisions for 10 rockets? I thought it only had 3 on each side and carried a total of 6 5 inch zero length rockets?
