How do you deal with your withdrawls? These are my top ten symptoms:
1. While at work I think of AHII
2. While at work I read and post on the forums
3. While at work I watch the Military channel or the History channel
4. While at work I google AHII related material
5. When I want to end a telephone call with the wife I start ranting and raving to her about how I landed 5 kills - making me an ACE!
6. While driving I often try to zoom in on distance signs or objects
7. I am at work right now, 11 hours left out of a 24 hour shift and I will still play for a while when I get home at 0800
8. While at work I "window shop" for new gear
9. When I see Billy Mays on tv it reminds me AHII - Thanks Stodd!
10. I stop and talk to anyone wearing a WWII Veteran hat, anywhere, anytime, and just listen to them for as long as they have time to talk
-
Please don't take this the wrong way but you seriously have something wrong with you if you think about AH that much. :salute have a drink.
-
LOL, if your job was this boring... :noid I wish I could have a drink right now! Not only that, this about the only website that is not blocked by the thought police here that is of any interest.
-
I know how u feel man I am at work also, but I am stuck in the office tonight instead of patrolling. It does get boring. I am on a state comp and for some reason they dont' block any sites lol. They do monitor them though.

I have these 24+ hour shifts about 4 times a month and they really wear me down. Sleeping is not allowed while on shift. I have to do all I can to stay awake. Anyone that has been in the Army knows what I am talking about. I am in TRADOC right now and we are at 50% manning, which is why I have CQ so often. This form of sleep deprivation is enough to make a person go insane.

Ugh... CQ. I have tried not to put those two letters together for four years now! That is one thing I don't miss about active duty. I feel your pain sir, I always tried to look forward to when people came crashing through the doors stumbling drunk and forgetting where their room was the highlight of my evening. Although I had managed to do that myself once or twice :uhoh.
Where are you stationed at?
-
You are lucky. When Im at work I think of paying my wholesalers, how Im gonna complete a job on time, what the next job will be, taxes, etc. I really only think of AH when Im flying, or if a friend asks me if Im still playing that silly airplane game :)
-
I'm cruising the BBS thru my cellphone. Spend most of the day trying to kill the time.
-
Ohhhh the days of CQ duty. Do not miss that part of serving one bit! Thanks for continuing the tradition though. It is appriciated! :salute I should have my desktop back tomorrow... Then I am hitting the skys until class starts Monday!

LMAO
I've often wondered if other do the same thing. :rofl
-
Ever find yourself driving along and trying to hit the secondary weapon trigger (cannons) to get the idiot in front of you out of the way? :D
How about driving along thinking you need to gain some e in case you get a con on your six? Only to realize that you're now 20mph over the speed limit and there is a cop sitting in the median looking at you.
-
:rofl LOL
-
I deal with my withdrawls by thinking about how awesome it will be when I DO get to play. Just picture youself in the cockpit, blowing the crap out of all the annoying squeakers.

GET a WOMAN , there's a thought.......... serious issues brewing if this is your reason for life and breathing.....We all love the game but never forget . It's a DANG game which we all love but, there's no where to go but down if you define your life through a friggin simulation WOW
-
Ooops, forgot the big grin at the end.
And AA, if you are talking to me, then you should know I was kidding.
-
No , I was not talking to you specifically sir < salute >

Very well then. Carry on. <S>

I think about AH a lot. Especially at work. Its my hobby, its what I do for entertainment. I'm married got a kid, I hunt, fish, ride a motorcycle and all that. But AH always seems to be in the back of my mind. I've loved air combat since I can remember. This games is a blast

Got a really good one of those...she gets all the attention she desires...I don't like bars, too broke to trick out cars like I used to, can't afford a plane of my own and my honey do list is all caught up...I work long hours and the thought of coming home and planting myself in front of the idiot toob with a beer in my hand turns my stomach...I truly enjoy prop type combat flight sims and since I'm a veteran, I enjoy allowing my mind to wander into the make believe world of simulated air combat.
Ever find yourself driving down a one lane road at night...see a pair of headlights coming at you...and think to yourself oh look at that frigging dweeb, bring it on turd...only to realize it's a bus coming at you and your going the wrong way down a one way street...that last beer was a doozy... :D
