...is linked with the main servers?
When the servers go down, or are busy the message board stops working?
When the server drops, first place i come to is here to read :)
Not sure on this but if they are related then it isnt the best way to have it.

I think Scuzzy said that the Search option was removed because it would cause lags in the game. So my guess is yes, they are connected. (If its true Skuzzy said that...)

Negative, the board is hosted buy "INFO pop".
Look at the very bottom of the screen, shows ya ;)

You can't access it if the arena goes down, that should tell you right there.

The game is not hosted by Infopop. It is hosted on an HTC server. I've run Infopop BBS software for years, trust me. ;)

The BBS is on local HTC servers. There are several servers. To my knowledge, the servers themselves have only been down a couple of times in the last few years.
What you are referring to is the Internet links. If Verio (ALT) goes down, then you cannot get to the BBS, if Savvis goes down, then the MAIN route is down.
Before 1.08, if the Savvis link went down, you could not log in. 1.08 addresses that, but when you login via the ALT route, you must pick the ALT connection to the arena to get into the arena.
Oh,...I do not recall ever saying anything about the Search function Animal. I really do not know why there is no search function, but I am sure there is a good reason.

It's the spell check that causes lag :D

I think it was one of htc that figured out the search was causing lags, because I remember that too.
